I need this. Or something very similar at least. And in it I will keep a wallet made out of a cassette tape and a real fountain pen with a bottle of ink. And I will be ace.
Found these awesomely geeky tshirts. My sister, as both a history geek and a general geek, fell in love with the Tsar range. Personally, I think I like Mostly Harmless best!
Sadly though, my tshirt budget this autumn will (eventually) be taken up by one of these.
Going with my current shoe-shopping thing (I know, wtf?! This is me, I don’t do shoes OR shopping… :/ ) I somehow found these. Don’t know if they’re for sale, don’t know if they’re wearable, don’t even care - they look funky. “Art” if nothing else XD
Excuse the excess of emoticons; it’s been a long week…
An unholy alliance
Shoes. It’s a female thing, isn’t it? Or at least it’s meant to be. I’ve never been one of those girls who needs a different pair for every day of the year, and I’m quite happy kicking back in favourite old converses that I’ve sewn up and glued back together. But I can see it sometimes - the shiny pairs of patents heels, cute flats in pastel colours with bows and lace, pointed-toe, buckle-sided b*tch boots, even “statement” pairs in mad colours and patterns with four inch butterflies stuck on.
But every now and again I see something that makes me weep for fashion, in the same way that I weep for art at the mention of Tracy Emin. Last year, it was the Converse / high heel cross. It caused me almost physical pain to see it back then, but since then I’ve seen a couple of people carry it off, and I can almost understand the fusion between girly and tomboyish.
This year though, there is an abomination. I bring you, the wedge-welly.
I am thankfully yet to see it in action. I know only that they are on sale in common high-street stores. However, I know full well that no-one whose opinions (or even acquaintance) I value will ever be caught in such a monstrosity…!
