I went to a civil partnership last month and these are the accessories I wore ;)
May have to reblog this over at formulabombing too, but I just love this photo far too much!
Also, I had never thought of coordinating my wristbands with my clothes… I tend to pick the ones that suit the weather forecast… XD
Found these today. Can’t decide if they’re epic beyond belief, or sad beyond description… But I’m definitely leaning towards the former… XD
Made this this afternoon from a piece of shell that I picked up in Brighton.
I always wanted one of those necklaces that looked a little like a shark’s tooth when I was younger. Now I have one!
Sadly the picture doesn’t do the colours in the shell justice - it has patches of brown and creamy colours as well as just white. If I get around to taking a better picture I’ll reupload, but this is me, so don’t expect miracles!
This ring features a complete band of Gibeon Meteorite framed and mounted in an 18k gold band. The meteorite has been etched with nitric acid to reveal the characteristic patterns, or Widmanstatten figures, of iron meteorites, and set with 9 gemstones representing the planets of our Solar System. Mercury is represented by a rust colored Sapphire, Venus a golden Sapphire, Earth an irradiated blue Diamond, Mars a Ruby, Jupiter an Opal, Saturn a Cats Eye Chrysoberyl with an inlaid 24k gold ring, Uranus a green Sapphire, Neptune a blue Sapphire and Pluto a black Diamond. What really makes this ring special is that the band of meteorite spins independent of the gold ring, so when it is on, the planets rotate around the wearer’s finger.
TL;DR SPACE RING GIMME
^ That. Basically.
Not the best photo ever, but here’s the Union Jack button bracelet I made last night. I’m not selling this one - it’s mine muahaha. *Ahem.* Anyway, it’s the first piece I’ve made in a long time that I’m pretty much completely and genuinely happy with.
And it *so* has nothing to do with this. Nothing at all. No inspiration gained whatsoever…
Anyone following my blog will know that I’ve been making jewellery. Well now it’s for sale online, here at my Etsy shop! Woo!
Jewellerying again! Three bracelets here, all of which are related to the commission piece I’ve been working on these past couple of weeks.
For the brass Byzantine one, I had to make all the jump rings myself. I bloody hate jump rings now… The silver one has Swarovski crystals hanging from it.
And some more jewellerying - earrings this time!
